Wow, Essie, that’s quite a story. Could you post a picture of the test? A faint line should also be read as positive. Just wait and see if the line gets darker. Did you take the test this morning? If so, I’d do another one in two days.
I don’t know anything about pregnancy despite sterilization, but if you look online, you sometimes come across stories like this. Apparently, something got through somehow.

Wow, that's quite a story. Stay strong!
I can't help you out. Hopefully, you'll get an answer to your questions soon!

That's so intense for you guys, losing a child is the worst thing that can happen. Lots of strength with processing this loss.
Did your husband have his sperm tested after the vasectomy? And what technique was used?

No, my husband hasn't had it tested yet. It was supposed to happen after 3 months, but given everything that's happened, we haven't really had the time or inclination for it.

It was done at the GYN, as I understand it, and they said the vas deferens on both sides were cut.

If his sperm hasn't been tested yet, I'd definitely get that done.
As for testing, continuing with more tests will give you more clarity. Good luck, and I hope you'll know more soon.

Oh Essie, that's so awful for you and your baby. My condolences . That would really be a miracle.. if you turn out to be pregnant.
In your case, I'd still go to the GP. They can take a blood test, and then you'll have certainty as quickly as possible. If you are pregnant, they'll keep an extra close eye on you because of your scar. That should actually only be strong enough after a year. The risks aren't very high, but they do monitor extra carefully.
Did they also test whether there were any sperm left in your husband?

Mom, yes, we definitely should do that again.
Betty, thank you. Yes, then this would indeed be a little miracle. Anyway, I was under the supervision of the gynecologist for all my children, and this was the case here too. The scar is already a year old. Our son would have turned 1 last Thursday, the 31st.
What I did read is that if you're pregnant and still lose blood, this could be a pseudo-menstruation. It lasts much shorter than your normal period and usually occurs around the time your period would normally come. This was the case for me now for 3 days, whereas I normally menstruate for 7/8 days, with often the first three days being very heavy. This time, that wasn't the case. With a pseudo-menstruation, your hCG rises very slowly. I'm really super nauseous and my tummy feels weird.
I have to go to the GP on Monday, so I'll ask about it there.

Essie, my sister also had it. She thought her bleeding was a period because she usually only bleeds for a short time. It could also be implantation bleeding. But it could also just be a one-time thing where your period suddenly becomes shorter. Exciting though! I'm crossing my fingers that the test was just too early and your hCG levels will rise nicely.
