Hi! My partner and I are facing a dilemma. We're having twins, two girls, and we're wondering if the names should match since they're sisters and even twins. We both think the names are really beautiful, but not necessarily a good match for each other.
What do you think?
The names we have in mind are:
Janne & Kate

Janne is very Dutch, and Kate is very English. We don't want to change it to Keet (because of the association with a shed). What would you do? Go for option B? Or just stick with this?

    Hi Stevanie,
I actually think it's nice that you're giving both kids their own unique names. Even though they're twins, they'll still grow up to be their own little people I personally don't like it when twins are named Mila and Milo, for example

Wow, how lovely! Two girls! I agree with Floydi, it's really nice to have two unique names, and I also like Janne and Kate together. Maybe because both names have an 'a' as the second letter and they both end with an 'e'. I think it's nice.

Nice names! We're having our 3rd child. Never looked at the other names. Each child stands on their own, I think

Really nice names. I'd keep them as they are. They sound really nice... Janne and Kate!

Done! I really like those names!

However, if you talk about the kids later on, maybe the other way around, so Kate and Janne, otherwise it might sound like Jan&Kate if you speak quickly, and older people might hear Jan&Kees. I might be wrong, but I always tend to overthink such things.

I personally think Janne is a bit too Dutch next to Kate, but that might just be because I find Kate really nice and Janne not so much.
But if you both really love it, I’d go for it, because that’s what matters! Not everyone has to find it beautiful. And I agree that the names don’t need to be a "set."

Hi everyone! Thanks for all the honest feedback. It really helped us out. We've decided to go for it!
So it's going to be Janne and Kate, full names Janne Elsa Isabella and Kate Teuntje Marilou.
