When's implantation??

Hi! I was wondering if there are any ladies here with a short cycle of 25/26 days?

I'm wondering when I can expect implantation.

My ovulation is always around cycle day 14/15 and about 10 days later I get my period. Is that then from cycle day 20 to 24? Or am I completely off?

    Implantation usually happens between days 5 and 9 after ovulation. That matches what you said.

    Okay! Thanks! I thought this might be different if the cycle isn't 28 days.

    The fertilized egg doesn't take into account the length of your cycle. Implantation happens just like it does with a regular cycle. Which can indeed be a problem with late implantation and a short cycle. But that's absolutely not a must! With my youngest, implantation was at 6 dpo, so still well within those 10/11 days you need.

    If it's a late implantation, obviously I won't get my period, but what about hCG? Would I only test positive a few days after my expected period? Not on the expected day, I guess, because there's only a very short time between implantation and the period?

    It depends on how quickly your hCG levels rise. Modern pregnancy tests are very sensitive. I had a very faint line just 2 days after implantation. By 10 dpo, it was already much clearer. But if you only implanted at 9 dpo, you might be testing too close to your period. With a short cycle, it's better if implantation happens around 5, 6, or 7 dpo. That gives you a better chance of building up enough hCG to prevent your period.

    Thanks for the clear answer! I'm now at CD22 and 7dpo, and this morning I wiped and had very light pink on the toilet paper... we're hoping for the best!

    With my daughter, implantation was at 5dpo, I clearly felt it, and the ultrasound confirmed it.
    On the day I could test, I had bleeding, but since it didn't continue, I tested anyway.
    Hopefully, you'll have positive news when you test!

    Hey Floor! No, not tested yet! I don't dare! I'm scared of a negative test since I have some pink/purplish discharge after wiping after a toilet visit. I think my period is coming... Pff I hope it stays with just this discharge and I still dare to test.
