25-day cycle - when should I take a pregnancy test?

Hi everyone!

Today is day 27 of my cycle, which is usually 25 days since I stopped using NuvaRing at the beginning of this year. Early in the summer, I found out I was pregnant with a home test on day 26 (but a low hormone level on the blood test the next day: 28), but I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks.

After the miscarriage, my gynecologist prescribed me the pill for a month. I still haven't gotten my period today and assume my cycle is back to 25 days, so I'm 2 days late, but a test this morning was negative. I do have similar symptoms to last time: shortness of breath, vague back pain, and vague cramps.

What do you think? Are my periods late because of that month on the pill, which messed things up a bit more (although I was regular right after 16 years on NuvaRing)? Or are my hormone levels still too low (possibly because of my short cycle)?

Thanks!

Hard to say because every body is different. If you're sure about ovulation, you should get your period about 2 weeks later. If you've tested now and it was negative, I'd test again in two days with a cheap test. Good luck!

I’m going for it that your cycle is back to normal. Due to the miscarriage and the pill.

I don’t get why the gynecologist prescribes the pill for a month after a miscarriage. Do you happen to live in Belgium? When was that month of the pill?

Unfortunately, that month can mess up your cycle a lot. Unfortunately, there’s nothing else you can do but wait. Wishing you lots of strength.
