Multiple miscarriages.

Hi everyone! My name is Olivia, I'm 27 years old and I'm married to my lovely man Xavi. We stopped using the mini-pill in July 2018.. I got my period again for the first time in October 2018 and from February onwards had somewhat of a regular cycle. I got pregnant in June and had an early miscarriage at 4+3 weeks. Then got pregnant again in August and had a miscarriage at 5 weeks. Now we're really scared that it might never work out. We have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow, but it was already made clear over the phone by the GP that no tests will be done yet. My question now is: are there more women who have had multiple miscarriages? And who eventually gave birth to a healthy baby? And were tests done for you? I'm so incredibly scared that it will never be granted to us. Thanks in advance for your responses!

I’ve had several miscarriages. 3 in total.

I wasn’t pregnant for 14 months at first. I felt like something wasn’t right in my body. Finally, I got pregnant, but at 9 weeks the gestational sac was empty. At 12 weeks, I had a D&C. That was in March. In early August, I was pregnant again. At 9 weeks, there was no heartbeat. Another D&C. I got pregnant right away, but had a natural miscarriage at 5 weeks. The gynecologist said a miscarriage before 6 weeks isn’t really considered a miscarriage. I found that really awful. I went on the pill for 3 months. I wanted some rest and still felt like something was wrong.

Stopped again, my cycle returned to normal, and I was pregnant within 2 months. Our little one is almost 5 now.

I don’t think further tests would make sense. Looking at my own experiences, I suspect it has to do with stopping the contraceptive pill. It says 18 months on the package. It’s also not recommended for women who want to get pregnant.

My advice: give it time, give your body time to get back in order. I know doctors don’t really believe in that. My experience and the way things have shaped over the years. 15 years teaches you something different.

    Stay strong!

A big, big hug and strength to you both with your loss.

    I’ve had 3 pregnancies.
I was pregnant right away in the first month, had a beautiful ultrasound at 8 weeks. At 10 weeks, the heartbeat stopped. Then, after 2 months, I got pregnant again and this ended in a spontaneous miscarriage at 6 weeks. After that, we were advised to start with tests. The chromosomal test came back completely normal. Right after the miscarriage, I got pregnant again, so the blood clotting test couldn’t be done then. I had bleeding until 15 weeks—old blood, pink blood, bright red blood, and sometimes clots. The gynecologist couldn’t figure out why. And suddenly, it stopped. But I ended up with a healthy daughter
Then, unexpectedly, I got pregnant again. At the ultrasound at 9 weeks, we saw that the baby hadn’t grown beyond 6 weeks and 2 days. Meanwhile, I’ve had the other tests done, and everything is completely fine. Now, I’m still not brave enough to try for another pregnancy. I want to put everything in its place first. Even though I know it could go well for me too.
Strength, and I hope you’ll soon be able to hold a healthy baby!

I only had a baby after the pill (2 years later). In the meantime, I had 5 miscarriages... tests showed nothing wrong... I eventually accepted it after the last curettage, and less than 2.5 months later I got pregnant and stayed pregnant? Maybe I should have been less focused on it.
Wishing you lots of success ?
