Victor of Celle

We're torn between the names Victor and Celle. We think both are really beautiful. Victor is a name that's already super popular, while Celle might be a bit more daring. Which name do you prefer?

    I'd say Victor.
Celle actually sounds more like a girl's name to me.......

I also immediately thought of a girl when I heard Celle. Or do you pronounce it as Kelle? Then I find it more of a boy's name. And actually quite a nice boy's name!

I don't think you'd pronounce it as "Kelle." One of the rules in Dutch is that a 'c' before an 'e' is pronounced like an 's'. Think of words like "cent" or "centraal."

If you do pronounce it with a 'k', I think it'll just cause confusion. In that case, you might as well write it as "Kelle."

We would pronounce it as Selle. My grandfather is named Marcel and is sometimes called Celle, which is why we chose this name.

I think Celle is really pretty, but I'd spell it with an S, so Selle. That would make it more of a boy's name in my opinion
