Pregnancy tests, ovulation and ovulation tests
Keep trying hopelessly or not?

We’re a couple who’s been trying for 4 years now and just haven’t had any luck. We’ve tried everything (Clomid, Menopur, and IUI – all tests have been done and nothing is structurally wrong).
I got my period starting Saturday, but this time it was different (first 6 days of intermittent spotting, then a day with nothing, and then my regular period as usual)...
I’m also experiencing lower back pain, heartburn (especially in the mornings), and abdominal pain/cramps. My boyfriend also mentioned last week that his breasts haven’t grown...
I’m too scared to test. We have an appointment for a second opinion on Tuesday 1/10, but I’d like to hear your thoughts on this. What do you think? Is my body playing tricks on me again, or could I actually be lucky this time?

Hi San, if you did have a normal period, the chance is quite small. But it's always possible—you'll really need to test if you don't trust it. Can't a gynecologist help you out? I'll be rooting for you, let me know?
