HCG extremely low

Hi everyone!
I’d love to hear your thoughts.
According to my calculations, I’m 4 weeks pregnant now, but my HCG level is only 18. A week after my expected ovulation, I had a lot of cramps, and my doctor said it could have been a late ovulation.
Could an HCG of 18 match with 3 weeks of pregnancy, and does anyone have experience with such low values?
I’ve also been testing for 3 days now, and the lines are very faint but do darken a bit.. I can only have blood drawn again next Thursday..

    It's possible that you're producing hCG a bit slower. Or implantation started later. The value doesn't mean much right now; you'll indeed need to get tested again. As long as it's rising, that's good. Unfortunately, you just have to wait! I hope it's increased significantly.

    Exciting barbdese.
    It can go either way, but as long as you're not bleeding and the tests seem to be going well, it sounds like something positive. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

    Thanks for your replies!
    Given I have 0.0 patience, it's really tough no bleeding yet, temperature 37.5, and tests are on Thursday, but they're coming up very slowly. I've had an ectopic pregnancy before, and then the hCG also rose very slowly, so that fear is definitely there.
