Hi everyone,
I took a test this morning but used too much urine, so I saw a second line (a faint line, not pink). Three hours later, though, I saw a clear line. Should I consider it positive?

    Lela, I'd just take a new test, then you'll know for sure and you can read the result within 5 minutes

    Hi Lela,
    Short and sweet: I’d consider this test negative. From my own experience, too much urine and reading after the specified time can lead to a false positive result.
    This Kruidvat/Trekpleister test really only needs 3 drops of urine with the pipette, and you should read the result after 3 minutes. After that, just throw it away because the result won’t be valid anymore.
    By the way, you could still be pregnant, but I’d suggest doing a new test tomorrow or the day after, with a timer and just a few drops of urine.

    Lela, that's exciting, girl.
    I'd definitely try a second one. My faint line was gray and much lighter than yours, and negative lines usually dry up white for me. I'm hoping for you!

    I’ll take another test on Friday.
    As I said before, the second line was whitish/greyish within 5 minutes, but still visible.
    I’ll keep you updated.

    I’d just take another test... why wait? Then you’ll be free from that uncertainty right away.

    Unfortunately, I don't have any tests at home right now. Maybe I'll manage to pick some up tomorrow morning before work.

    You were right, Orchidea, too bad.
    The color made me doubt and I found it quite positive.
    Just to be sure, I'll test again tomorrow morning; I tested with afternoon urine this afternoon. I don't think it'll make much difference, but still.

    I get it, this was my false positive back then, after 10 minutes. Also pink as you can see, it sucks, but it can apparently happen due to too much urine, and after the reading time the urine keeps drying and can give a false result.. sucks!!
