I'm almost due with our first baby girl. For over 8 months we've been thinking of naming her Evi. I still think it's a beautiful name... just a shame that you hear it so often (at least here in the area). Now my husband and I think the name Lieve is also beautiful. But how crazy is that? People might say "Lieve lieve" or "stoute Lieve". But is that a problem? Could this lead to teasing from classmates? What do you all think? Thanks in advance for your replies! Love

With Evi you can't rhyme much, but with -eef you can. For that reason, you might as well rule out Evi and Eva too. And Jeroen always walks around with poop under his shoes. You could go on like this forever, and you can always find something to say about every name.
Evi is a nice name, and Lieve is too. -

Our daughter is named Evie. We had chosen the name long ago, and then suddenly it ended up in the top 10. For us, she was already a true Evie. Looking back, it's lucky that it's not so popular here yet, but we deliberately went with the 'ie'. That's less common than with an 'i' or 'y'. So I'd go for Evie!???? -
