Ovulation test

happymumGuest ·
We're trying for our second baby and I started using pregnancy and ovulation tests this month. It's been positive for 4 days now. I started using them to confirm that what I feel every month is indeed my ovulation. On Saturday I got my first positive test, and Sunday night I had the same twinges I feel once a month. In my opinion, my ovulation. I thought I'd keep testing because the test should turn negative now. But no, it's Tuesday now and it's still positive. What does this mean now? Anyone with experience, or the same?

Hi, that's so annoying. You still don't know anything yet.
    Unfortunately, I don't know either.

I really hope you get pregnant soon

Happymum, I don't remember exactly where I saw it... but your ovulation window is good for a few days, about 4 days, and then the chance of pregnancy drops again... it was marked like that... you start your cycle when you've had your period in red... after a week and a half you enter orange and on the day of your ovulation you're in green for 3-4 days and then back to orange for a few days and then back to red when your period comes again.
I'm really trying to remember where I came across this... then I could send you the link... I'll think about it and if I remember I'll definitely let you know!!
But it's with those colors: if you're in red the chance is minimal to get pregnant, orange you have more chance and in green you're right on your ovulation. So normally if your test is positive you should be in your ovulation window so I'd say it's possible.

Lots of luck with getting pregnant! And I'll keep you posted if I find out again when during the cycle you have the most chance of getting pregnant..

    Love

ps on this site you can also calculate it and it's quite accurate then you see that you're fertile about 2 days before your ovulation up to about 2 days after your ovulation. http://www.mamaenmeer.be/zwanger-worden/biologie/vruchtbare-periode.html?randID=3562977?randID=9118369#fertility

    hey girls,
I'm going to use ovulation tests for the first time. I just have one question:
I have very irregular cycles, between 26 and 42 days. When should I start testing? Does anyone know?

    Love, Nynke
