Gender determination

Today I had an ultrasound for gender determination. The sonographer said it wasn't clear enough even though I'm 16 weeks. Then he said it's a girl. I'm doubting... what do you think?

I think you'll be able to hear it at the 20-week ultrasound

    That wasn't her question

Oh yes, sure. She asked “what do you think?” And that’s exactly what I think.

I also think that if an experienced sonographer doesn’t know, how could you possibly get a correct answer on a forum with laypeople? Besides, an ultrasound is a dynamic examination, so it’s even harder to see from a single photo than in real time.

You’ll hear it naturally at the 20-week scan, and they’ll also check whether the baby seems to be developing normally. That’s what really matters to me....

The doctor said it's a girl. She herself is unsure. What does the rest of you think it'll be? Comprehension reading.
Whether the child is healthy, that's what everyone cares about. But can't you still ask about the gender?

If he says it's a girl, then it probably is. When do you find out?

I’d also say a girl! But yeah, it’s probably best to wait for the 20-week scan.
