Implantation or period?

Hi.
I got a positive ovulation test from Kruidvat on July 29th. On August 7th I had brown blood, the next day a bit more red blood, then light red blood and a bit of pinkish mucus.
I tested on August 10th and August 14th with two Kruidvat tests for 5 euros. But both were negative. My cycle is usually 50 to 55 days and now suddenly it's 41. Does anyone have experience with this?

The photo is the ovulation test from July 29th, the next day a less clear line.

    Hey,

    I don’t see a photo...
Was the red bleeding for 1 day or multiple days?

    Greetings

1 day left of the 3 days. Otherwise, I was having a heavy period, needing 3 pads per day, and now I could manage with just 1, and after the red blood, it was only when wiping..

Try testing again next week. It might still be too early..

Your egg could have also ovulated a day later. With a positive ovulation test, you're at least around ovulation time. If it were fertilized, you should have a positive test by now. You'd be about 19 days post-fertilization. If implantation happened 7-8 days later, or even 9 days later, you'd already be producing HCG for 10 days. A test should definitely pick that up. It's possible you had implantation, hence the light bleeding, but it didn't go well. Your cycle is quite long; have you looked into that? Maybe despite your LH peak, you didn't ovulate and your egg released later. So you had another LH peak. That explains the long cycle. You can find out by testing through an entire cycle with ovulation tests. If you did have a second LH peak and thus ovulated later, there could still be a chance you're pregnant but tested too early. Unfortunately, you'll need to keep testing to get more clarity. Good luck!

    Hi.
I never had it checked because I was already 3 months pregnant with my son.
I took another ovulation test the next day and the line had become very faint, so I thought I had ovulated that day, July 29th. My cycle was 41 days this time (if it was a period), otherwise it’s usually 50–55 days. I’ve been feeling nauseous in waves since yesterday… something I never had with my son.

Yeah, it's possible that your LH peak didn't rise again until later. I hope you get some clarity soon. Unfortunately, how long it takes to get pregnant the first time doesn't always predict how long it'll take for a new attempt. But it's good that it happened so quickly back then too.

I'll wait a few more days and then test again. If it's negative, should I start ovulation tests again????

Unfortunately, another negative test this morning at Kruidvat, 2w5d. We're going for round 2!
