Hi ladies,
My sister-in-law just lost quite a bit of blood along with some cramps. She had already been bleeding for about 2 weeks, but without cramps or clots. Now a clot has come out. She's about 7 weeks pregnant. Would you mind taking a look at the photo and telling me what you think if it's indeed a miscarriage? I know you're not midwives, but she's very sad and would like to know how other moms feel about this photo. Please keep it respectful. I've put a photo below. Thanks in advance to those who want to respond.

I fear the worst... and only the midwife can give a definitive answer, as you yourself say. Although I do hear some success stories of people who also lost clots and the baby simply survived and was born healthy.

Thank you for your reply. She just got back from the UK. She was pregnant with twins (just like her mom and grandma were). She lost one, but the other has a heartbeat.

That's so sad! My deepest condolences on the loss of one of your two little ones.

Oh, strength to your sister-in-law for the loss of her baby. Hope the second baby stays well.

    Hey,

How did the midwife know it was twins?

Oh my goodness… that is indeed a loss. At least you still have a healthy baby. I went through something similar with my son, who is now three. I was pregnant and lost blood (plus menstrual cramps) at the ultrasound, and they saw an extra dark spot. I concluded at the time that I was pregnant with twins and had lost one. Fortunately, I can give it a place now. Strength to your sister-in-law.
