Okay, so I have a rectocele prolapse. I'm pretty sure about it because I can push my stool out through my vagina. There's a big bulge. When I've emptied my bowels, the bulge goes away. (Yeah, gross story.) The midwife says to do pelvic floor exercises. And that I can only see what the lasting damage is 6 weeks after giving birth...

Is there anyone here who had this prolapse after giving birth too? And did it go away on its own?

I have it too. With normal, soft stools it's fine. With harder and thicker stools, I really do need to push a bit, otherwise it won't come out. I don't think it's too severe.

I don't mind going to the GP about it. I just can't seem to get the hang of pelvic floor exercises; I constantly forget to do them. Unfortunately, I can't tell you what the effect is. If you're really struggling with it, I'd definitely recommend contacting a specialized pelvic floor physio and/or your GP.
