No no, you don't look cross-eyed, I see him clearly.
For me, it's positive, cautiously congratulations.

Can he also be positive due to the hormones?

    There's clearly a line

And yes, those tests are very reliable

Jolien, what symptoms do you have exactly? This test seems positive to me, but I don't know what the effect of the medication is.

I don't really have clear symptoms. Just occasionally I feel a very vague sensation in my lower abdomen on the left side (weird...). Sometimes I'm a bit nauseous, but you can't really rely on that since I get nauseous quite often anyway...
This morning (so 2 days later) I tested again... this one is from a different brand (testjezelf.nu), but I barely see anything on it... sometimes I think I see something, but then I tell myself it's probably just 'wishful thinking'... What do you all think?
It's now 11 days since the Pregnyl.

Don't they say you should wait at least 14 days after Pregnyl to test? Because it could give a false positive result?
  7. JolienA #8

@Noniem, I've always heard that Pregnyl should be out of your system after 10 or 11 days. Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if I turned out to be an exception to the rule. ???? So, to be on the safe side, I'll wait until the day after tomorrow to test again.

If it's 10/11 days, you're right at that deadline.
Try to wait a bit longer, no matter how hard it is.

The 2-for-5 euro tests at Kruidvat are very reliable. I don't know what the hormones are doing, of course. Otherwise, try testing again in a day or two, or ask your GP for a blood test.

I think it's from the Pregnyl...
  11. JolienA #12

I'm going for a blood test tonight. Couldn't resist, I'm way too curious... I'll keep you posted!
  12. Noniem #13

@JolienA : Good luck! Hopefully good news!
  13. JolienA #14

Thank you! I just lost a little bit of watery, brownish blood... let's hope it's not an early period, but something else.....

    Hey Jolien,
I also got pregnant after taking Clomid/Pregnyl, and at the hospital they were very clear: don’t test until 14 days after the injection. Otherwise, your results won’t be reliable.

I also had some brownish discharge around the time I was supposed to get my period—so 14 days after the Pregnyl. That’s why I hadn’t tested yet. I thought my period was coming. Later on, I turned out to be pregnant, and the brownish discharge was old implantation bleeding.

I hope you’re pregnant and that they can already see it in your blood test. If not, there’s nothing else to do but wait a few more days.

Jolien, are you testing again on Thursday? I'm curious for you. Hopefully a nice positive test!

Evita, was that implantation bleeding a lot like a light period or a little bit for two days? Congratulations on your pregnancy!
  16. Tina_X #17

For two days, a little bit. And no red, it was really brown. I had put in a tampon (thinking my period was coming), but when I wanted to change it, it was a bit difficult to take it out because it was still a bit dry. So really not that much. Just a few spots on the panty liner, so to speak.
  17. JolienA #18

Update: the doctor called about a blood rash, nothing to see.
This morning still a bit of brown discharge... then a bit redder later on, but by afternoon it was back brown and almost nothing anymore. While my period should start around the 26th... I don't really understand it...

Seems like a very early miscarriage to me.
  19. Anonymous Guest #20

Sorry Jolien! Did they give you another chance since it was still early, or should they have already seen something in your blood? So it must have been the medication after all?
Evita, that doesn't sound like much! I've never had brown discharge for two days; my period often starts with brown discharge, but it's more than you describe, and then it quickly turns into a full flow!
