Is the pregnancy test positive or not?

We’ve been trying for a third little one for a bit over a year now, and you’d think after having two kids you’d know what to expect... but I’m still doubting.

Last Saturday, I suddenly had a little discomfort that I immediately recognized from my previous two pregnancies, but after a year, I’m not so quick to get my hopes up.

Last night, the same thing happened again, and I just couldn’t hold back my curiosity, so I took a test anyway. Sure enough, after a year of tests coming back completely white even when I was a day late, I now saw a faint second line appear directly, two days before my expected period.

But it’s so faint that I’m wondering if it’s actually correct, because with both my daughters, the lines were clear and distinct right away.

This morning, I tested with first morning urine, and again, only a very faint line, even though I thought the line should be much clearer with first morning urine.

I’m kind of doubting now whether I’m actually seeing the line or if I just want to see it, I guess.

And if it’s this faint, is everything okay, or is that a sign it could be a chemical pregnancy (which I obviously don’t hope for)? I’m one day before my expected period, so I know I shouldn’t have tested yet, but curiosity got the better of me this time.

Am I imagining it, or is it really visible because it’s so faint?

I can't post the photo here, but it's the one next to my story

Definitely positive! I understand the uncertainty, but congratulations! For now, he's usually light. If you test for a few days in a row, you'll definitely see him getting darker.

    Thank you for your message!
Crazy, right? You already have 2 kids and still feel unsure when the test isn't the same as the last 2 times.
Hopefully tomorrow the test line will be a bit clearer
