7 days overdue, 2 negative tests

Hi everyone, could someone give me some advice? I always had a 28-day cycle. Last month I was 5 days late. Got my period unfortunately. But 2 weeks later I got my period again!! That started on June 11th. So now if I keep the 28 days I would be 7 days late. Took a test yesterday and this morning and both negative. Lots of symptoms though like tired, vivid dreams, sore breasts and stabbing in my lower belly, binge eating, emotional.. Has anyone had this before and tested positive anyway? I really hope I'm pregnant!

Unfortunately, I’ve been through that too. 5 days overdue, tested negative, and wasn’t pregnant.

Thank you for responding. Unfortunately, I just got my period again. I'm a bit upset, but we're going to try again next month.

Good luck, girl! I hope you get a positive test soon.

Yeah, unfortunately, I went through it multiple times while trying to get pregnant with my first. Even for two weeks straight when I was on my period. I went to my GP, who referred me, and I turned out to have PCOS. Fluid-filled cysts near my ovaries, which prevented the egg from releasing properly and caused very irregular cycles.

Sunshine1987, oh okay! And how's that going, because from what I gather from your story, you did have a baby?

That's right, I did indeed get pregnant spontaneously while we were in the medical treatment phase. Once we knew what the problem was, I started losing weight, which often has a positive effect with PCOS. And that proved to be true: as the pounds came off, my cycle became regular again. After the pregnancy, my cycle stayed regular, and it has been ever since. Now I'm on round 2 for baby number two, so I'm curious how it will go. But with PCOS, medication is often needed. I got pregnant before we had to start with medication. So now I'm trying naturally again first, since I've been having regular cycles lately.

Jsp, maybe another reaction from the pill? Or were you not on the pill?
