Getting pregnant

Hi, I had my IUD removed on May 31st. Now my question is, what’s your experience with getting your period back?
I had bleeding on June 2nd/3rd, but haven’t had it since. It’s been 38 days now. While I had the IUD, my cycle was always around 30 days.
I’m experiencing all sorts of pregnancy symptoms: nausea, tender breasts, fatigue, etc., but the pregnancy tests are negative.

I think you'll have to get used to life without an IUD. I've never had one myself; I was on the pill and had to come off that too. What helped me was noting down everything I felt each day—it's easy to do in an app. I also keep track of my discharge, when we've been intimate, and how I'm feeling mentally.

After my pill, I needed about 70 days for my first period... Then it was always 35 days. I think you just need to stop taking the pill.

I had my IUD removed right after my period. 28 days later, I got my period. After that period, I started trying to get pregnant. First round didn't work, second round hit the mark. Now 14 weeks pregnant. Good luck, girl. Hopefully, it goes quickly.

    Hi there,

I have a question for your thoughts
I gave birth to my second child in February and am thinking about a third. Now I'm wondering what to do because I have an IUD that I need to have removed.
I'm going on vacation in October and will have to take a long intercontinental flight. They told me (doctor and gynecologist) that you shouldn't really do that in the first 3 months of pregnancy.
So I can only start trying from October onwards. When should I then have my IUD removed? I don't want to 'waste time'
Because getting pregnant in October or November would still be nice, but babies born in the winter months seem less appealing to me. As far as it can be planned, of course...

Maybe get your IUD removed in September? Or after your trip in October, right before your trip? Haha, anything goes. I wouldn't do it before September.

Well, you can only come up with one problem... getting pregnant in December or January or whenever seems just as nice to me. You just have to be so lucky that it's granted to you a third time...
But if the date is really the most important thing... You could just take out your IUD and then bridge the gap with condoms or something?

The date isn't obviously the most important thing, but I still think it's worth keeping in mind. Nobody says it'll be successful right away. I had a miscarriage last time too, so we don't know what the future holds, but we'll see...
