HCG level after miscarriage

Hi ladies,
I had to induce a miscarriage with medication on 05/16. I had bleeding for about 2 weeks. So I only had sex with my partner after that. Now it's 06/10 and 06/11 and I lost blood again, and I thought that would be my period. Today I had another follow-up at the hospital. I told them that the ovulation tests have been positive for the past 2 weeks, and a pregnancy test I took on 06/05 was also positive. So I already suspected there might still be HCG in my blood. Today I had blood drawn and my levels were 160-170. So the doctor thought that was quite high for so many weeks after a miscarriage and wondered if I had actually had my period recently. I'll have blood drawn again next week, and if it's still high, I'll get further tests.
Has anyone here experienced this too?
