Ovulation tests

Just a quick question!
I've started using ovulation tests because we're already on round 10.. And my patience is starting to wear off a bit...
But I don't understand my cycle at all. I already have a 3-year-old son, and with him it only took 2 months to get pregnant with just one ovary, after having a previous miscarriage.. so I expected it to go quickly this time too, but unfortunately not.. About 2 months ago I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks.. but before that my cycle was 28 days, now it's often 25 days? I started testing on Saturday, which was day 6 of my cycle.. Yes, quite early, but how does this actually work? And when is the best time to have sex, how dark does the line need to be?

Would you like to share your experiences with me, and also mothers who got pregnant quickly with this?

I think your tests are already getting quite dark. The test line should be as dark or darker than the control line. From what I see of your test, I suspect it will turn positive very soon.

I didn't use any tests during my first three pregnancies and got pregnant right away. The third pregnancy ended in a miscarriage, and after that, I wasn't pregnant after five rounds. So in the sixth month, I started using ovulation tests. I had intercourse on the day of the positive test and got pregnant that month. So I don't have a lot of experience with this, but it worked out well for me.

Just to be sure, you should also have intercourse the day after your positive test because your egg usually releases 1 to 2 days after the positive test.

    Good luck!!

    From today up here.
I also think she’s indeed getting nicely dark..
We did some chores on Sunday, not yesterday, and starting today we’re back to doing a few days of chores...
Hopefully it’ll be quick this time
    Thanks, Sofie!

I don't get this at all? Tuesday morning a pretty thick line and by evening it's almost gone?

Michelleee018, it could very well be that you ovulated on the night of Monday into Tuesday, or Tuesday morning and evening. I’ve had that too, and then I really had it in the meantime, so you just had a short peak . I myself suspect it was on the night of Monday into Tuesday.

Peetje1983, so does that mean it's pointless to have sex now?..
We had sex twice on Sunday, but that was also the first day I wasn't menstruating anymore. Monday, yesterday, so we did nothing and wanted to start again tonight, every day for the next week or so..

Just to be safe, it should work. The egg might release later than your peak. And keep testing for a few more days to make sure that was indeed your peak.

But if you just got your period, you can't ovulate right away, that would be way too early. I'd still keep an open mind, like Sofie said, your egg might release later.

Yeah, I thought so too... I'll just keep testing and doing DIY stuff.. hehe
