Just a quick question

My girlfriend and I were careless last night. She already had some stomach ache. 2 days later she should have gotten her period but nothing. On the 3rd day she woke up nauseous and had a terrible mood. Saturday morning she was extra cheerful again, lots of stomach ache and in the evening a binge eating episode. Day 3 still the same, another binge eating episode in the evening. And nauseous. Day 4 took a test, not fasting. It wasn't pregnant but she's had stomach ache and nausea all this time, mood swings and binge eating for the last 2 days.

Is that test reliable or should we test again? She really wants to get pregnant. And I would like that too.

    You can only get pregnant during your fertile window. That's about 14 days before your period. So no, it's impossible that she's pregnant if you had unprotected sex 2 days before her period.

    She took another test and it says she's pregnant. I don't need biology for that. Just because the chance is small doesn't mean it's impossible, I think. And she says it feels exactly the same as the first time. She already has a 2-year-old.

    It seems impossible that she got pregnant from that one time. Sex 3 days before the expected period.

    Then it must have been from another time.

    You can't get pregnant 2 days before your period. Or it's from an earlier time, or she wasn't actually 2 days before her period. It's that simple.

    Wow, I'm sometimes amazed at how much ignorance there is among some people. I get that it can be confusing for men sometimes, but a woman should really know how a cycle works and definitely how to get pregnant! You can't get pregnant a few days before your period. Then you'd get your period while the (fertilized) egg is on its way to the uterus. Can't happen.....
    If she has a regular cycle, she should also know when her ovulation is. Sometimes menstruation is delayed due to certain causes.
    And you don't need to be sober for a pregnancy test. You can take it anytime during the day.

    Then I don't know either, a DNA test will show what's going on. It wasn't planned, but just as welcome. By the way, a cycle can always vary due to circumstances, right?

    That’s right, but then she wouldn’t have been 2 days before her period. But even then, she can’t be pregnant from your unsafe sex right now. It takes at least 12-14 days to get a positive test. (That’s why they left little dashes for earlier testing.)

    So she can’t possibly be pregnant from your sex 2 days before her expected period.

    I'm curious now, haha. Two possibilities: 8 days after unprotected sex, the test is positive. She had a late ovulation without realizing it and tested positive very early (which happens very rarely, but then it's still very early). Or she knows her cycle well, saw the possibility coming, and thought, "Let's quickly have some unprotected fun with my real boyfriend so I can pretend it's from him." I'm curious which one it is. It could also be what Puck said, that it's another troll
