When to have sex after a positive ovulation test?

Hi,
On Monday morning I didn’t get a positive ovulation test. I tested again Monday evening and then it was positive (along with two other tests). We tried Monday evening and Wednesday evening, but unfortunately not Tuesday evening. Do you think that Tuesday was crucial?

I used pregnancy tests for the first time this month (after 5 months without). Only on the day of the positive test and now I'm pregnant.

If the test is positive, your egg will release within 24 hours. So Wednesday was already too late.
It's best if you notice that your tests are getting stronger every 2 days. If they're already fading again, it's basically too late. Monday was the perfect day then . Tuesday would have been too late anyway, since your egg only lives for max 24 hours once it's released.

It's not rocket science, right There's no alarm clock saying: 24 hours are up!
After a positive ovulation test, your egg is released, I think, between 12 and 48 hours later. I think it was fine, really. Sperm can live for a few days, so having sex every other day around your ovulation is fine. That Monday was good, and Wednesday could also be a hit.

I did it without testing and got pregnant on the first try. I had intercourse every two days during my ovulation period, and sperm can live for up to 3 to 4 days.

Thanks for your replies. We're just waiting now. It drives you crazy, doesn't it? And every round, even more so????

Here we always worked around the fertile days every other day. And got pregnant quickly. So whatever you did now is fine. Good luck!

With the first one, I also thought I had to do everything perfectly. But getting more and more stressed with each round doesn't help. Kim, you don't need to make it more complicated than it is. Every other day is fine, as Babytje4 says. Sometimes it helps to just let go. If the stress gets too high, talk to your midwife about it for a bit. Sometimes things work out differently than you expect.
