Hi! My partner and I are expecting our first baby girl, but we can't decide between two names. We hope you'll help us out! The names are Jip & Pip.

Best, Evi

Neither is really my thing, but if I have to choose, I'd go with Pip. I think Jip is a boy's name.

I really think Jip is a boy's name (think Jip & Janneke). I do like Pip though.

Definitely Pip! I think it suits a girl much better than Jip.

Both not really my thing. Jip is indeed a boy's name. And Pip reminds me of Woezel en Pip, those doggies.

I like Pip! And otherwise Yip

We're expecting a daughter too, and it's between Nova and Lexa ...

In your case, I'd go for Pip.

Fifi, I'd go for Nova, our daughter's name is Nava haha.
And Lexa is a dating site, right?

I wouldn't really name her Lexa... named after a dating site, that's sad for the kid.

    Lexie?

Haha, I didn't even know that was a dating site ... But definitely something to think about, indeed

Pip! It makes me think of Pip Studio, and I think that's a nice brand!

Is it an idea to give a slightly longer name? Maybe that's a bit nicer for an adult than Pip, which sounds very playful?
For example, Philippa or Filippa - you can always call her Pip or Pippa, instead of just Pip?

Jip, so cute for a girl

    Pip

I think Pip is such a lovely name! I like Jip too, but I like Pip even more...

I find Jip very old-fashioned, sorry for my opinion, and think of Jip and Janneke. Pip isn't really my taste, but you do hear it more often nowadays. The downside of Pip is that you can't shorten it. Jip can't be shortened either, haha. I'd rather go for something like Pipa, so you can make Pip-Pipa, because personally I don't find Pip that appealing.
