Daughter is heavy.

I think my daughter is a bit on the heavy side. She’s 3 shoe sizes bigger than me, and that’s at age 15! She’s also been growing really fast lately; I think she’s put on about 20 kg in a year. There’s no trace left of her once slender, sweet girl. I’d really like to talk to her about it (ideally with the goal of her losing weight), but I’m afraid she’ll get angry and push me away. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any tips?

I used to have excess weight myself (20 kg more). Looking back, it was related to contraception (10 kg off) and a difficult home situation (had a lot of effect, little certainty, frustration..). I also had unhealthy eating patterns, especially after going out etc.

I would approach it positively - what IS in the food (minerals and vitamins) and TOGETHER replace unhealthy food with healthy food. Dieting and diets have little effect. The relationship with food is very important. Just eat healthy three times a day and drink water. The cause could also be a wrong bacteria in the intestines (see the book by Julia Enders - the food machine).

    Good luck!
