Pregnant with amniotic fluid?

Hi!

Ladies, help me out. We don't have a baby planned, but if it happens, it's not really that big of a deal either. Still, I'm going crazy from the missed period and negative tests.

My cycle is around 30 days. (Very rarely it runs longer, up to 35 days)

I'm now on day 43 of my cycle.

Our last intimate moment was on April 21 (he was on vacation).

During that moment, he didn't even come inside me (he hadn't started using contraception yet), so it (let's say) went out the church door for quite a while. Very irresponsible, I know! But we gambled that it wouldn't stick. I also didn't find out if I was in my ovulation period, which I still don't know for sure afterwards.

6 days after sex, so on April 26, I lost a little brown blood discharge for 2 days in a row. I thought my period was coming, but no, so far still no period. Besides possible implantation bleeding, could this also be because he accidentally hit my cervix too hard (it hurt)? And was it old blood from that wound?

And all tests are also negative again (tested for the last time the day before yesterday, then I got a bit tired of it).

The symptoms I'm currently experiencing are:

- Since that brown blood discharge, almost every day I have cramps in my stomach and lower back.
- Constant wet feeling like I'm going to get my period any moment.
- Sudden extreme fatigue for about a week. (I'm normally quite energetic and active, even right before my period)
- Gloomy feelings and wanting to cry all day. Quite lethargic.
- A small water balloon-like swollen lower abdomen (the difference is very noticeable). When I press against it, I clearly feel something that makes me think "this is not okay".
- Heightened sense of smell, when I smell something, others smell it later or not at all.
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Grumpiness
- A stuffy nose without being cold

What I don't have (yet?) is sensitive/painful/larger breasts, nor do I have nausea or cravings for certain types of food, although I am eating a bit more than usual now. Preferably something sour (I suddenly get a craving for that now as I'm writing this).

Pfff I could go on for a long time, but I think these are pretty much them.

I'm curious about your experiences and judgment, although I don't expect any confirmation here, but talking about it might lift the mood a bit as long as I don't get my period.

Love,

Daniëlle

Maybe just make an appointment with your GP about that weird feeling in your water-balloon belly?

Well, you should have gotten a positive test if you were pregnant. I think your cycle is a bit longer right now. But to be sure, you could maybe go to your GP to find out the cause of your long cycle. Hope you get some clarity soon.

Thanks, ladies. I have an appointment with the GP on Wednesday to see what's going on. I'm now on day 44 of my cycle, and my back and stomach cramps are completely gone, and there's no sign of my period anywhere. I'm still really struggling with those low moods. It's really annoying. And then there's the overthinking on top of it... sigh. I'm curious what comes out of the appointment on Wednesday. Honestly, I hope I'll have started my period by then. For now, I have no idea if I'm pregnant; I last tested 3 days ago. I don't really feel pregnant because I don't want to assume anything without proof, but I also don't see myself getting my period anytime soon. It seems pretty much sealed up down there, definitely not planning on letting anything come out :/

Good that you're going to the doctor, Daniëlle! I don't think you're pregnant if you just tested. You should be getting a positive result by now. I'd rather think it's something else medical causing you discomfort. But that could be anything too. A missed ovulation so you don't get your period, a fibroid, a cyst, hormone changes. It could be anything. Don't let them just send you away and get properly examined! Good luck!! (Secretly I hope it's a pregnancy, that's still the best thing compared to all the other mentioned things )

That does sound pretty strong to me too, Im, especially with the recent negative test. Now that you mention it, it could also be due to too much stress. Just started a new job a month ago, different routine... been pretty nerve-wracking too. Well, we'll see. :|

It's totally your own choice how you handle this, I'm absolutely not judging. But isn't it wiser to make the choice together whether you're really ready for it or not?

My boyfriend was 32, I was 28, when I told him I was truly completely ready. He was startled by it and needed a bit of time to get used to the idea. Half a year later, he was ready too, and we started trying.

Personally, I find that quite a strange thing to say. If you are pregnant, wouldn't you tell your friends and family; "it's not that big of a deal, but we're pregnant"?
It's no small thing, bringing a child into the world and raising them. In my opinion, you should take that more seriously. But again, if this works for you, that's totally fine!
