I can't give you an answer to your question... The only thing you can do now is wait and test again in a few days if the bleeding doesn't get worse. With my youngest, I also bled during implantation and it was really red. So it can go either way.
You'll indeed just have to be patient. It could be an implantation bleed. Whether it's going to be a sticky one, you'll only know after a while.
I had a bleed myself on day 28, with a cycle that was still going haywire. The bleeding lasted about 4 days, followed by some light brown discharge. I tested 6 days after the bleeding due to vague symptoms and it was completely positive! Even in the first weeks and even a few days ago, I still had light bleeding, but at 8 weeks there was a good ultrasound.
So anything is possible now. I would try another test on Monday to see if it's picking up.
With my last two pregnancies, I also had implantation bleeding. The third pregnancy ended quite quickly after my period. Around the time of implantation, around 10 dpo, I had light bleeding. Just one morning, and then a positive test on my period. A few days later, I lost bright red blood for 2 days and had some cramps. So it turned out to be a chemical pregnancy. The last pregnancy had implantation bleeding at 6 dpo, a faint positive test at 8 dpo (barely visible). Every day my tests looked better, but on 12 dpo I had bright red bleeding one morning. I thought it was another chemical pregnancy. But the tests kept getting stronger. That result is now next to me. With my oldest, I also had bleeding at over 7 weeks, but that went well too. Only with my middle daughter did I not see a single drop of blood.
So just keep testing, and hopefully it will keep getting stronger. This is in any case a sign that you're producing HCG, so there is an early pregnancy. Good luck!
Thanks for your replies. The bleeding got worse last night. My tampon was completely full when I woke up. Throughout the day I also passed some tissue, so I assume it’s a miscarriage. I did take a test later in the afternoon though, and to my surprise it was positive. The blood also got darker than yesterday. Isn’t that strange if I’ve lost so much blood before? But I’ll wait and see. Hoping it’s a “plakker” (a late miscarriage)!
Hey Veer. It could be that you're just pregnant but had some bleeding. Test again tomorrow morning to see if it's increasing, otherwise maybe on Wednesday. Good luck. I'm rooting for you.
Hi ladies,
Would you mind taking a look? I took a test yesterday afternoon (12-05) after losing quite a bit of blood and even a few clots (sorry for the details), but it was a bit less than my normal period. But to my surprise, the test was darker than the one from Saturday. This morning, just to be sure, I took another test (13-05), but I don’t know if it’s darker or the same. Shouldn’t it fade after so much blood loss?
This morning I went to the GP and they quickly did a test with the little urine I could still produce, but no second line... Are the pregnancy tests just not working?
When I had a chemical pregnancy, it also started with bleeding. The test kept going up for the next few days before it went back down again. We'll just have to wait and see for now.
I'd just call the GP and request an ultrasound. HCG doesn't say that much in case of a miscarriage. I also had high HCG levels for weeks after my miscarriage. But hopefully, everything's fine!
I also had clear lines after my LMP. They stayed visible for almost a week. Only then did they fade. As long as the line isn't really clear, I'm still afraid it's a chemical pregnancy. The pregnancy feeling also disappeared for me after the bleeding. I'd still test a bit more, but after your OPK it should be a bit darker.
