Hi everyone,
I'm a bit unsure. I had an appointment with the gynecologist this morning and she said, "Shall we take a quick look?" I thought I was 6 weeks pregnant, but the gynecologist thought it was about 5.5 weeks. But isn't the gestational sac very small at 1.3mm for this stage? It's making me

Hey, don't stress. I think half a week, 3-4 days, doesn't make a big difference. I understand your worry, but you'll see it'll be fine with the 12-week scan. A small measurement error can quickly mean a day or two on those small cm.

@Lis my gestational sac was completely empty at 5 weeks and 3 days, no embryo or yolk sac visible yet ;-) Now I'm over 17 weeks pregnant with our daughter
You have a really beautiful ultrasound Enjoy your pregnancy
(I'm pregnant via ICSI myself and had two quite scary bright red bleedings in between, but luckily our baby is a fighter)

@meid23 oh, that’s a shock! Luckily, everything is fine! I still find pregnancy always so suspenseful. I remember during my pregnancy with my daughter, I was so stressed at the beginning, wondering if everything was okay... And now I have a healthy girl. But with the second one, I’m already feeling that uncertainty again, haha.

I also don’t know exactly when my ovulation was since I only just stopped the pill, so maybe it was a bit later, and then I’m indeed less far along. I’m curious now; in two weeks, there’s another ultrasound. Two long weeks..

@Lis Yes, unfortunately I know all about it after more than 2 years. I was pregnant with ICSI but had an early miscarriage at 6 weeks, and the subsequent transfer also ended in an early miscarriage at 5 weeks. So this was the third transfer, and because of the bleeding, I was really scared of having a third early miscarriage. But luckily, it seems like three times is the charm, and after 2.5 years, we are finally (permanently) pregnant

Yeah, it was really tough mentally and physically. I often thought it would never work out, but luckily our patience and perseverance are being rewarded
