Early pregnancy test

Hi everyone! I was wondering which of you ladies have done an early test—the one you can take 5 days before your expected period. What’s your experience with it? Did it really detect your pregnancy days before your period?

Yeah, and yeah, there's a big chance of a heavy disappointment. Most pregnancies miscarry before you even know.

Thank you for the response. I'm also going to wait a bit before testing.

You'll find 101 different opinions on this. For some it was great, for others not so much. I've had a situation where it didn't work out in the end either. With my current pregnancy, I tested 2 days before my expected period, and there was a fairly clear line, but it was still suspenseful until the actual date. I wouldn't test that far in advance myself. It's also possible that implantation hasn't even occurred that early. I'd wait until the expected date, or close to it. Good luck with trying to conceive!

Thanks for the reply, Anne If I do it, it would indeed also need to be 2 days before and not earlier.

I’ve been pregnant twice before, and both times the test was very faintly positive 2 days before my expected period. Both times, everything went well.
I started testing 4 days before my expected period both times, but it wasn’t positive until 2 days before.
    Good luck! (:

Thank you so much, anonymous! That's indeed what I want to try too. 2 days before the due date.

I tested negative at 10 dpo. Then around 12 dpo, I got a very faint positive (in the evening), and at 13 dpo, a clear positive. So ladies, don't test too early either—it's hard to wait. Better to wait and be disappointed once or get good news than to be disappointed multiple times.

Thanks for your reply. What does dpo mean, if I may ask?
