Why is the ovulation test positive now?

Hi! Normally, my period should start in 3 days. But I’m still doing ovulation tests, and they’ve suddenly been positive for the past 2 days... Does anyone know how this can happen or what it means? I’d love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!

    Hi, this one isn't positive.
    It turns out there's always a second line showing up on the ovulation tests. So the test is only considered positive if the second line is as dark or darker than the first.

    Yeah, I know. But normally, I don’t usually get two clear lines like this… gotta say, it’s even a bit more unclear in the photo too..

    Should I do a pregnancy test then? Tests can show positive for hCG, but then it should really be a clear, dark line. Looking at the photo, it's a bit lighter in color. Maybe try again tomorrow?

    Ovu tests do indeed react to hCG... for my period, the LH tests also spiked and it turned out I was pregnant. I obviously did a regular pregnancy test too, but I was curious what the ovu tests would show. If your ovu tests are never this dark outside of your peak, you have a good chance of being pregnant. The Kruidvat 2 for 5 gave me a clear line 3 days before my period. Good luck!!

    @lm yeah, definitely. My tests are basically blank or very, very light outside of ovulation... that's why I found it weird too. I've also been having a lot of stomach issues since this weekend.. excited to see!

    Exciting babble! It's up to you whether you wait to test until you have enough urine or not, but I'd do an ovulation test tomorrow and if it's darker with the same urine, do a pregnancy test. But I'm a test fanatic, so yeah

    Yeah, I'll definitely keep doing the ovulation tests for now, and then if needed, a pregnancy test

    This was my ovulation test when I was pregnant, it was 1 day before my period. Hopefully it works out nicely and then a positive pregnancy test!

    I also tested with both because I had so many ovulation tests lying around. So both pregnancy tests and ovulation tests. Also, ovulation tests start to show up and begin with a lighter line, mine started to show up a bit faster. I also had the sensitivity test. For NOD, the test line was also lighter than the control line. A week after NOD, it really exploded. It turned dark purple hihi. So I would also do a pregnancy test. Good luck!

    Well, today I was supposed to get my period but there was no sign of it yet... Now my ovulation test line is even lighter, almost nothing...
    Could I still be pregnant?
    I do have certain symptoms, but still...

    I know, I should take a pregnancy test, but I'm only home after 8 pm in the evening, so I can't go to the store.

    Babbles, I’ve read that sometimes an ovulation test is negative but a pregnancy test is positive, so it’s possible.
    Ordering online? And tonight the stores here are open until 9 PM, so maybe that’s an option?

    This one isn't much darker than the other one. It should also get darker with HCG. But I'd just take a pregnancy test to see where the line is coming from.
