Cycle

Good afternoon,
We've decided to start trying for a second baby.
With my first pregnancy, my cycle was good right away, so I got pregnant immediately.
Can it be that with the second baby, your cycle returns to normal right away? Has anyone else experienced that?
I've been on the pill again for 1.5 years in the meantime.

It’s possible that your cycle is already back on track, but it’s also quite likely that it has become a bit longer or shorter.

You can check this by starting ovulation tests 10 days after the start of your last period. That way, you can find your ovulation and know when you’re fertile.

Okay, yeah, I'm already past those 10 days, so I don't think it's much use anymore, right? I've been feeling pain in my ovaries since today, I think. When I sit down, I feel sharp stabs there, and I recognize this from last time. I think that means ovulation is coming or has already happened. So that would be day 18, counting from the first day. So my cycle would now be 32 days long. I'm curious to see.

I always had a 28-day cycle before my first pregnancy when I stopped the pill; I could set my clock by it. When we were trying for a second (about 2 years ago after stopping the pill), my cycle suddenly became between 29 and 31 days. So for me, it wasn't the same.
Wishing you lots of success and hopefully you'll be pregnant soon!
