So worried that something might go wrong!

Hi everyone, nice to chat! But I'm 8 weeks pregnant in two days and still have no symptoms. Six more days until we go to the OB-GYN for the first time. Do you always notice something's wrong with bleeding? Or does it sometimes happen that something goes wrong and you don't notice?
Everything is fine with me, and that makes me nervous. Only sensitive breasts and more vaginal discharge otherwise... just a urine test and blood test confirming the pregnancy.

Hope you have answers!
Greetings

    hi sophie2p
you really don't need to worry if you don't have any symptoms; those usually come later in pregnancy. only if you have severe, persistent abdominal pain or heavy bleeding should you worry that something might be wrong. but if you have light bleeding, that doesn't necessarily mean something's wrong. i was also so scared of losing the baby and had to go to the gynecologist every two weeks. really such a lovely person. otherwise, feel free to contact your GP and talk about it. i swear, he'll put you at ease ))
enjoy your pregnancy and don't worry too much ;o)

    Hi Sophie,
    Congratulations on your pregnancy!
You don't always have to have complaints... With my first, I hardly had any complaints at all...
Try to enjoy yourself and not worry about complaints you should have...

You get that anyway, of course.

Are you from Belgium??? Because in the Netherlands, if there's no medical reason or anything like that, you usually get your first ultrasound at around 8 weeks with your GP, and then the standard first scan at 12 weeks...
If you're visiting the gynecologist for a specific reason, you often get an (internal) ultrasound earlier and more frequently...
I don't know how it works in Belgium. Do you already get a standard ultrasound at 8 weeks there?

Ok, thanks so much to you both I'm already feeling reassured though.. Now just counting down the days until Wednesday.. and talking about it with my 2 best friends.. who unfortunately don't have kids yet so I can't compare.. We'll see how it goes, right! Hopefully we'll be driving home on Wednesday evening with a nice little ultrasound picture! Good luck to you too!!
