Positive ovulation test

Hi there,
I had my Mirena IUD removed on March 14th. I started taking Microgynon 0.2 that same day. We had sex once during the first week, knowing that the first 7 days were unsafe. We’re hoping for a second baby but wanted to go on the pill so we could decide when to stop. Last Wednesday I took my last pill and haven’t had my period yet. Pregnancy tests are negative. Still, last Saturday I had some crampy/irritating feeling in my lower abdomen, but it went away after a day. Since I should’ve gotten my period by now and something just felt off, I did an ovulation test. It was positive.
How is this possible?

An ovulation test isn't a pregnancy test. A positive ovulation test means a surge is coming because there's an LH peak. A pregnancy test measures a different hormone, namely hCG.

Are you sure it's positive? You always have some LH in your body, even on the pill. If it's really a peak, your contraception isn't working well.
