I feel nothing..

Hi!
Just a quick question, I was stripped this afternoon around 11:30, and I still feel nothing. There is some bleeding and occasionally a hard belly, but that's about it. Can I assume it didn't work? I read everywhere that for people where it did work, things started to stir right away, but the only thing that's stirring for me is my stomach, from hunger.. Has anyone had experience with stripping, someone who didn't feel anything right away either?
Greetings!

Hey, stripping doesn't always work. How many weeks are you at now? I was induced on Wednesday at 11 am and felt some rumbling in the afternoon, and had more hard contractions, but nothing else happened. Thursday evening I got hard contractions again, but nothing that seemed like it would continue, and on Friday morning (3 am) I started having contractions, and 5 hours later I had given birth. According to the midwife, it didn't progress because of the stripping, because then I should have given birth within 24 hours after the stripping. But I think it was partly due to the stripping anyway, since I didn't have any discomfort before the stripping. Good luck with the final stretch.

Hi, thanks for your reply! I'm now 39 weeks and 2 days. This is actually the last thing they're trying to get labor to start on its own; if it doesn't work, I'll definitely be induced by the end of this week. I was just hoping it would start on its own, since I've never given birth naturally before. Wow, you had a really fast labor then, congratulations! How many weeks were you when you started stripping?

Hi, they also stripped my membranes during my previous pregnancy because labor wasn't getting going properly. It didn't help me at all; hours later I still only had 2 cm dilation. It only sped up significantly after they broke my waters at night in the hospital I was exactly 41 weeks pregnant.
