Which name did you think was awesome, but your partner didn’t?

I saw this question (which names do you think are awesome, but your partner doesn't?) on another forum and I'm curious about your stories, so I copied it (oops!).

For us:
I think Madelief and Ronja are awesome for a girl, but my partner didn't find them special. For a boy, we had the same thing with Roef and Pelle.

Any fun stories from you guys?

    The boy's name is already set since we just met, so no need to talk about it anymore.
    The girl's name is a bit trickier.
    I think Hannah and Sarah are beautiful, but unfortunately, he doesn't.

    In the end, it turned out to be Mia and James. So it was actually pretty close!

    For a boy, I really liked Hidde, but my husband isn't into Frisian names and my second choice, Floris, was also rejected! He kept saying "fll fll," which really doesn't sound right. No, if you say it like that, it doesn't sound good, no

    And for a girl, I like names like Noortje and Jinthe, but my husband felt more drawn to names like Juliette or Madeleine.

    In the end, we found names that we both liked, but neither was quite number one for either of us. They were a bit more upscale than I would have chosen on my own, but they had the sweetest sound among my husband's favorites, which I liked tricky, isn't it!

    Boy: Bentley came up with my boyfriend and I liked it right away; I had no idea for a cool boy's name. For a possible next one, the name is already decided.
    Girl: I thought Milla was super nice, but my boyfriend didn't—he liked Chelsey, but I found that awful, so it ended up being Miley. We agreed on that.

    I have a soft spot for Charlie and Nina. My husband vetoed both haha.

    Boy:
    We agreed pretty quickly.

    We now have a quartet: Nora (6yo), Evie (4yo) and twins Iris and Mels (1yo).

    This comment says more about you than about me. I know kids can make remarks like that about others, and apparently, there are adults who are still stuck in their childhood. I don't care if you don't find the name pretty, as long as we do, it's fine. But such comments aren't necessary. If you have nothing positive to say, just don't respond unless you're asked.

    I like names like Charlotte, Josephine, Willemijn, Juliette, Isabelle, Valerie, and Suzanne.
    My husband likes names like Chelsea, Christie, Ashley, Melissa, Hailey, Demi, and Maria.

    They're 30 weeks pregnant now and still haven't picked a name????
