Is the ovulation test positive now?

Hi everyone,
My partner and I are in round 1 for our first baby . We decided to try consciously, and I already stopped the pill in December.
During my cycle, I tried ovulation tests starting from day 13. They were always negative. We didn’t fixate too much on that.
Around day 20, I stopped testing because I was convinced it was already too late, and that I had missed my ovulation (so it would have been before day 13).
Yesterday, out of curiosity, I tested again, expecting the faintest line so far. Surprisingly, it turned out to be the darkest one (day 25, photo below).
Today, I tested again. The line was even clearer.
My cycle lasts 29 to 30 days (but is regular except for that one day).
How is this possible? Can I still be ovulating now?
Greetings

    That looks positive, yes!
It could be that you're still popping out follicles and therefore have an irregular cycle.
An ovulation test also reacts to hCG. So you could try a pregnancy test to confirm.

I think you ovulated late today, but have some fun anyway

Just keep testing. If they run out, it's indeed a late ovulation. If they stay positive, you could actually be pregnant. Just hypothetically, if your ovulation was before the ovulation tests, the ovulation test could now be reacting to hCG. The chance is small, but certainly not unthinkable. So if you keep testing and they get lighter, it's definitely your LH peak.

    Hey! Thanks for your reply!
Still positive so far. Also noticed a weird kind of discharge. I find it hard to know whether it's that famous cervical mucus or not...
    We'll see!

    Hey! Thanks for your reply.
I hadn’t even thought that far yet. Exciting, isn’t it? ;-)

Hi hi, I have a question. I stopped the pill in October and had regular cycles every time until 2 months ago. Suddenly, no period for 6 weeks, then a 2-week period, and now I found my ovulation for the first time in all those months last Wednesday. The rest was positive for ovulation. When is the best time to have sex? I hear so many different stories. We had sex by chance on Sunday and Tuesday, and then on Wednesday when the test was positive, of course we did again, but not after Wednesday.

Update: my tests are fading. So: a very late ovulation. Wow, I never even considered that. Luckily I did a test "unexpectedly" after all.
The practical side of the story: does this theoretically mean my cycle will be much longer (and I'll only get my period much later than my EDD of 03/09?)

Yeah, then you'd have your period in 14 days, depending on your luteal phase. If it's, say, 12 days, then you'd have it in 12 days. Exciting!
