Negative tests, but still pregnant?

lotta
Below I just want to share my story.
I last had sex 20 weeks ago. I was on the pill, and as far as I know, I always took it correctly and on time. However, I did experience regular cramps in my lower abdomen, fatigue, sore breasts, etc., at the beginning. Because I was afraid of being pregnant, I took several urine tests (at 4 weeks, 8 weeks, and 11 weeks), all negative. Since the symptoms persisted, I temporarily stopped taking the pill and went to see my GP, requesting a blood test. That was also negative, with HCG less than 1. So I was reassured. However, lately I've started doubting again. I get the impression that my belly is a bit bigger, and recently I've also gotten a pregnancy line from my navel down to my pubic area. I also feel exactly like pressure on my belly and feel everything moving. When I lie on my back, it feels somewhat hard under my navel. I did get my period, but only after a cycle of 43 days.
If you read my story, do you think it's still possible that I'm pregnant? Shouldn't I have a big belly by this time? It is a bit bigger, but I can still perfectly fit into my jeans.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Hey, I personally think you're overthinking it. Your body can play tricks on you and make you think all sorts of things. Just keep living your life, and if your blood test says negative, then for me it's negative. It's more reliable than a pregnancy test, at least for me.

If you're really, really unsure, which doesn't need to be the case with an hCG level of 1, you can get an ultrasound done at a private imaging center. It'll cost you a few euros. If you don't want to or dare to do that, you can also rent an ultrasound device these days that you can use at home. If that would give you real peace of mind, I'd go for it. But the chance is practically zero, though.

Why are you still hesitating? Do you really want to get pregnant?

What Clautje says is to get an ultrasound done. Call a midwife privately to discuss your concerns. There’s definitely someone who wants to help you.

    Have you been pregnant before?

With what you're saying, it's impossible to be pregnant. I don't understand why you're still doubting.

I've never been pregnant before, and pregnancy isn't something I'm currently hoping for. I keep doubting myself because these pregnancy symptoms just won't go away. Maybe it's all in my head a bit...
