pregnant?

Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if I'm pregnant or not.
My cycle usually lasts between 28 and 34 days.
Last Saturday, on day 28, I thought I'd started my period, but it didn't really continue and there was very little, dark-colored blood. So I bought a test on Sunday, just in case, and it was negative. But now I still haven't gotten my period. I also have a hard lower belly. It could just be in my head, of course, but I'm a bit confused right now...

    Hi Door,

I’d suggest doing another test in a few days, if you’re not on your period! It’s possible that your pregnancy hormone hCG isn’t high enough yet, which is why the test came back negative! You hear that a lot... Are you actively trying to conceive, or did you just stop the pill? If it’s the latter, it could also be that your body is still adjusting after stopping the pill, leading to an irregular cycle!

Good luck and let me know how it goes.

    Love, Lynn

Hi Door, it could indeed still be too early. Maybe it was an implantation that bled. In that case, you should definitely wait another 6 days.
    SPANNEND !!!!

    Hi Lynn,
I stopped taking the pill in May but haven't really been actively thinking about it. Now it's starting to really get to me, and since my last period, I've been tracking my ovulation.
@Lotte, I'm waiting anxiously. I've decided to test again on Monday if I still haven't gotten my period.
    It's quite exciting!
    Greetings, Door

Hi! I'm 18 weeks pregnant, and it was like this for me at the beginning too. I had a very slight bit of bleeding that wasn't worth mentioning. After 2 days, I still hadn't gotten my period, so I took a pregnancy test, which was negative. 3 days later, I still hadn't gotten my period, and I didn't trust it anymore, so I took another test, and there were 2 very faint lines. And yes, I wasn't sure yet, so I did a Clear Blue test, and it told me I was 2 weeks pregnant. So maybe you still have very little hCG hormone.

When I was pregnant with my second kid, I had that too. Got my period and 2 days later it was already over, 1 day later I got my period again.
    Tested and it said negative.
Well, after 5 tests later I had a very faint line, I was already over 11 weeks pregnant!

    Hi Door,
that's so cool, I'm really happy for you that it's confirmed! Enjoy it..
But I have a quick question: I also have a cycle between 28 and 34 days, but it varies a lot. How do you know when your cycle is? Do you just keep going longer or what??
I'd love to get an answer because I think we have the same cycle and I'm still not pregnant but I'm keeping my hopes up. It's pretty tough though; every month I feel pregnant again hehe, and then you get disappointed every month.

    Cheers, Esra

    Hi Esra,
I often calculate my ovulation using the average of my cycle. You can also chart with 28 days and 34 days and then take a wide window for your ovulation period. For me, it was always kind of a guess, but I got lucky this time and it worked out. If that doesn't work, you can always use an ovulation test. Wishing you lots of success, and I hope it works for you soon too!

    Congratulations, Door!
Esra, I use 2 apps on my phone that calculate when you're most fertile... That way I try to let go. You just enter when you started your period and when your last period ended.

    Esra,
I have that app too, it's called WomenLog and it's free.
It's really ideal. I have PCOS, so I have an unpredictable cycle (longest 45 days and the shortest so far 34). I've been tracking everything and this month I combined it with the app and ovulation tests every other day to time it during the most fertile period.
(I dare to say nothing yet because I'm still looking for advice here, but I tested very faintly positive today and yesterday on day 34-35 of my cycle.)

I hope this helps you. I think if you don't have PCOS, it's a SUPER app.

    Hi!
I'm now 8 days late, does that mean anything?
I've stopped taking the pill and we're also not using condoms..
I do have some mild lower back pain, which I normally get when my period is due. Took a test but it came back negative..
    Could it still be positive?
    Best wishes.
