Early ultrasound wrong calculation?
Hi everyone,
I'm curious to hear from people with a similar experience... My last period started on December 19, 2018, and I got my first positive test on January 18. It was very faint at first, but turned darker after a few days. According to my calculations, I should be 8 weeks pregnant now, but yesterday we had our first early ultrasound. They couldn't see the baby clearly externally, so they did an internal scan instead. Based on the measurements, she said I should be around 6 weeks and 1 day pregnant. That's quite a big difference. So she explained that either the baby stopped growing at 6 weeks, or I had a slower implantation process. She mentioned this happens sometimes. Now I'm leaning towards the first option
but to be sure, I need to come back for another ultrasound in a week. I'm wondering if anyone here has experienced the second scenario and had a similar difference in weeks, but everything turned out fine in the end. I know I just have to wait, but this uncertainty is so tough..
Xx
