Too small!?

Hi everyone,
I'm 31 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I had an ultrasound today, and it showed a growth delay. The head was actually 1 week ahead of schedule, and everything else was on track, except the belly, which was 2-3 weeks behind in growth. I have to go back in 2 weeks for another growth scan. I've had quite a few experiences during my pregnancies; the first two were huge, my third was very small, but according to the doctors, that was due to her severe heart defect, and my fourth died due to an infection in my abdomen. This baby seems completely healthy (they checked extra thoroughly for heart defects etc. today, but found nothing abnormal). Now I'm a bit worried, could she/he still have a heart defect or something else? The NIPT test was good, by the way, but you can't see everything with that. I've been quite busy lately (renovating the house, outings with the kids, etc.), and some people from my family have also made some unpleasant comments about this pregnancy, which I've been thinking about a lot. Could it be that the stress/busyness is causing this? Has anyone else experienced this and found out the baby had a healthy weight at birth?
Love,

Oh no, the passing of your 4th baby!
    I understand your worries!!
Good that they checked again to make sure everything was okay, and that nothing else was found to be abnormal.

    A few more weeks left.

Hey girl, that's pretty intense with your 4th baby. And I completely understand your worries.
My baby also lagged 2 weeks behind during the growth scan and eventually caught up a bit in the last few weeks. She's now a few weeks old and perfectly healthy. She weighed 3.1 kg at birth at 39 weeks, and initially she was estimated to be 2.8 kg at 40 weeks.
Some babies only have a growth spurt later on. Hope it's the same for you.

My son also had extra ultrasounds because his belly seemed to be at (or below) the 10th percentile. In the end, at 40 weeks he weighed 2965g, and all the doctors thought he was on the lighter side (IUGR). He’s now 2.5 years old and still a bit light for his age, and he still has a flat tummy, but otherwise he’s a very healthy, smart boy????

    Thanks for your replies.
Bibi, congratulations again on the birth of your daughter. It's so nice that it turned out to be less of a worry in the end regarding how small she was. I hope she indeed still goes through a growth spurt. They always say: don't worry about it, but well, that's exactly what happens.
Menn, glad that everything went well for you too, he could go home straight away with that weight, right? I mean, what exactly is a normal weight then? Sorry, I know, I've never had babies with a "normally healthy" weight so I'm not sure what's really considered too small.
My daughter, for example, was also 2.9 kg but she had to stay due to the heart surgery. My 2 oldest were then very big (the first 4890 grams and the 2nd at 38 weeks 4140 grams). That's why I find it so weird now that if the baby is healthy, it's so small... With my 2 oldest, they said they wouldn't be big babies (based on the ultrasounds). Only if I have to believe the gynecologist now, this would really be a mini baby. I also keep having nightmares that the baby will be stillborn, and now this doesn't help at all either..
