Different pregnancy tests?

Hi everyone,

I’m sure this topic is already on the forum, but I’d really like to share my own story in case anyone has similar experiences...

I had a 'weird' period on Jan 10th. It was just one day of normal bleeding like I’m used to, but the other days much less, even though I usually have a really heavy period, sometimes for 6 days straight (I know TMI, but just for the story). It was around my expected period time though. (Cycles: 28 to 31 days, it varies)

After this weird period, I just went about my day as usual, until last week I felt really tired, differently tired, nauseous and had terrible headaches! I first thought it was a flu bug, but secretly in the back of my mind I thought it might be.......

Last Saturday I thought, let’s just do a test. It was an Action brand test, negative within the reading time. I went to work that day and came home in the evening. The test was still on the sink and guess what.... two lines. Now I know you’re not supposed to read the result after the reading time as positive. So the next day I did another Action test, guess what... same thing... sigh. The lines were pink, very light but definitely not evaporation lines.

Well, I left it for a few days and then yesterday I did a test from a supermarket brand (Leidapharm or something?). This one was positive within the time, secretly I did another one of this brand 3 hours later and it was also (light) positive within the time. Now I did a Clearblue test this morning, the one with the blue plus sign, so not digital. But there’s nothing visible on that one..... I’m going to call my GP anyway to see how this can be, but does anyone have experience with this? I really don’t know what to think now and I’m so sad about it. My partner and I have been trying for our first baby for a year now.

And what about the bleeding last month? Implantation? (can that happen on your expected period?) or was it my period after all?

P.S. I know you can’t help me 100%, but I’d find it nice to talk about it with some people :-)

Love from me xxx

When I was pregnant with my first, I had some implantation bleeding (lasted only 3 days and was very light). I do have a very short cycle of about 21/22 days. But it can happen. P.S. you don't always get implantation bleeding: I didn't have it for my second pregnancy and was pregnant with twins.
