Getting pregnant

Evitjee
Hi,
I'm 23 and my boyfriend and I have decided to start trying for a baby.
I stopped the pill in October, had a withdrawal bleed afterwards, and nothing since. I'm now on day 104 of my cycle. I've already seen the doctor and they took blood tests. It showed I have high testosterone levels. The doctor advised me to see a gynecologist. I have an appointment this Friday. I'm so nervous and don't know what to expect.

    Hey Evitjee,

    Exciting time, huh?
I also stopped the pill in October, but I've had my period every month since then. Quite regularly, actually. Cycles of about 23-25 days.

When my sister stopped the pill, it was different for her. She wasn't on her period for 3 months, and then her cycle finally got going again. Some women have a longer time adjusting to stopping the pill than others.

Hopefully, you'll have more news on Friday. Keep us posted ?

    Hey Fifi,
Indeed, it's a pretty nerve-wracking time. I hope everything's okay. It would be easier if I were also regular, but that wasn't the case even before I started the pill.
Good luck, and make sure to keep me posted too.

    Hi Fifi,
I went to the gynecologist today. She did an internal exam and saw that my ovaries aren't working properly, which is why I don't get my period. But there are a lot of eggs visible in the ovaries, which was good news. Now I need to take medication to induce my period. If that doesn't work, they'll switch to administering hormones. It's crazy how everything works out like this, and it's an emotional rollercoaster, but the most important thing is that they can help me. Hopefully, I'll be pregnant soon.

    Hey Evitjee,
Thankfully the medical world is advanced enough that they can do a lot ! Hopefully you'll get your period soon!
I'm starting my fertile days now .
