Back pain

Hi ladies,

I've had this weird back pain around my ribcage for about a week and a half now.

Normally, I get lower back pain a few days before my period and I know it's coming. But this time, the pain is much higher up and started about a week and a half before my period. Does anyone else recognize this? I also had terrible headaches about 4 days after ovulation, lasting 2 days, which even woke me up...

We have a pretty new bed and I haven't done anything unusual that I could link it to.

Besides that, I do have some vague twinges in my belly and breasts, but I'm just accepting them as normal since I've always had them before my period.

My period is due on Monday, and I secretly took an early test on Thursday, but it was negative. Hopefully, it was too early.

Does anyone else recognize this? We're now in cycle 7.

    Hi bernice, 5 years ago with my son, I also had back pain right where you describe. Looking back, that was the implantation period. I went to the GP, who said it could be kidney stones and referred me to the hospital. They did a pregnancy test too, but it was too early and came back negative. So I went to the hospital and, unfortunately, had to get an X-ray. While I was already very early pregnant. Conclusion: no kidney stones, everything was fine. A week and a half after the hospital visit, I took a test because my period was late, and it was super positive! All this happened in about 3 weeks. I now have a healthy boy of 4.5 years old. That back pain was a very early symptom for me. I hope it's something similar for you! Good luck anyway

    Thanks for your reply! That must have been a tough time for you! It gives me a little bit of a good feeling that it could be related to implantation or pregnancy!
    I won’t pin myself down on it yet, of course, but it’s nice that someone recognizes this.
    So I’ll have the blood test on Monday and really don’t want to test earlier, because the disappointment always gets me down. Hopefully, I can say later that it was all just symptoms.
    But for now, I’ll just have to be patient, unfortunately.

    Hey Bernice you sent me a message but before I could reply, I couldn't find it anymore, which I found quite strange. You just sent a new message but when sending, I got a notification that something went wrong. So I don't know if you received my message. How annoying that Brabbels is acting weird..
