Semen analysis for boyfriend

We're a couple, 30 and 32, and have been trying for our first baby for a year and a half. I've already been to the gynecologist once. I had an internal ultrasound and an STI test. Luckily, everything was fine. My partner wasn't ready to do a semen analysis back then.
Now, half a year later, I've convinced him, and we submitted the sample this morning. Now we're waiting for the results, so exciting!
And because I'm so impatient, I'm already assuming the worst. The thing he produced was very thin and transparent; could this mean something? Does it look like that for your partners too?

Sounds exciting! I always have a bit of trouble with men not wanting to get checked out... it should be obvious. We women do that too, right? So maybe it's his sperm... then at least you know what's up. I hope everything is fine
You can't tell the quality of his sperm just by looking at it. One has whiter sperm and the other more transparent. And it can even vary from one ejaculation to the next.

My gynecologist wouldn't even start examining me unless my husband wanted to get his sperm checked too! His quote: "You make a baby together, so I'll check you both together."
But did your partner also follow the rules? Not ejaculating the day before and not more than 7 days prior? That can also affect how it looks.
By the way, I still think it's a bit of a yucky mess But yeah, it's so useful

We followed the rules we got on the info sheet. It said you shouldn't have ejaculated 2-3 days beforehand. My boyfriend stuck to that. And we brought the sample to the hospital within half an hour and kept it warm. I also found it really unpleasant that he didn't want to get tested back then, but I think he wasn't psychologically ready for that examination yet. He's the type who needs some time to get used to the 'idea', so to speak. And maybe it's also because he's from abroad; in his country, they don't do all that, you know. Luckily, he did it now, so now we just have to wait and see.

I was actually expecting some masculine pride, but my Italian guy already came forward with the idea that he wanted to get checked

The result of my boyfriend's sperm test was good. We'll hear more about it on Wednesday.

That's great that your partner's seed is of good quality.
My partner had poor quality, which led us to start fertility treatment.
In the end, we got pregnant spontaneously. A miracle!!!

    Hey BabyBoo,
    I'm curious too !
We've only been at it for two rounds so far, but my boyfriend has already said that if it becomes necessary in the long run, he's definitely willing to get his sperm checked!

Yeah, it’s handy and reassuring to know! We got a message from the doctor; he said there were around 50 million swimmers, so more than enough haha

    Hi everyone,
Does anyone maybe want to take a quick look for me? Because Google seems to read things differently than what my GP says. My husband had his semen analysis done...

    Number of spermatozoa: 7
    Volume: 4.0
    pH: 7.2
    Good motility grade a: 7
    Moderate motility grade b: 19
    Poor motility grade c: 9
    Immobile grade d: 65
    Vmc basal: 7.3
    Progressively motile cells (a+b): 26
Total number of motile cells (a+b+c): 35

What should I make of this? Is this good or not so good? Thanks in advance for reading... Greetings
