Ovulation

Me (20) and my boyfriend (20) have been trying for our first baby for a little over a year now. I have a 34/35-day cycle. Yesterday I took an ovulation test and it was positive. Of course, we’ve been busy having lots of sex. My period is due on Dec 16. I’ve also had some stomach cramps for a few days now. When can I take a pregnancy test, and what are the chances of being pregnant? I’m feeling a bit at a loss and hope you guys can help me out.

That stomach ache is the pressure you feel before ovulation. With a positive ovulation test, your egg usually releases within 24 hours. So if that pressure goes away, your ovulation is over. You usually test around your expected period, but you can also test positive at 10 dpo. It’s up to you. It depends on when implantation happens. You only start producing hCG after that. So you’ll need to be patient, which is super hard haha

Yeah, a year is pretty long, so your patience is being tested quite a bit. You could already go to the GP for some tests, if needed. Maybe that's already in the plan?

That's definitely in our plans. After January, we'll see how things go.
