Our daughter is named Liz. Now we're having a little boy. We really like the name Riff and think it's special, but does it fit well with Liz? Isn't that a bit too much like "Jip and Janneke"?

Is Riff not a bit girly? Otherwise it's nice, short and concise and definitely not childish. -

I think it's a nice name, but I always like it when siblings have their own distinct 'sound'.
Liz and Riff would seem too similar to me.
I also think people would turn it into Riz and Liv if they hear it quickly or don't catch it properly. Especially since Liv is already a name.
Maybe use it as a middle name and go with something starting with an A for the first name? Like Raf. -
