Announce to family via Christmas card

Hi there!

I'm pregnant for the second time and would love to tell the family via a Christmas card. Do you have any ideas on how best to handle this and what it should look like? I already have a daughter and would like to include her. For example, putting a t-shirt on her and taking a photo or something.

Does anyone else have any cute ideas for me?

Best,

    Hi Caroline,

Congratulations on your pregnancy! How far along are you? It's exciting to share the big news, and it's a nice idea! I wouldn't know what else to suggest... But what you've got is already super fun!

    Good luck, love Lynn

Normally, I'm 6 weeks pregnant (due date calculated via PC because I only have my first appointment with the gynecologist next week). So it's all still very exciting. Since I want to tell everyone around Christmas, we'll already be past the 12-week mark by then.

I'm still deciding on the photo idea:
    - I have a T-shirt for my daughter that says "soon no longer in my little one (figure)" and I might wear that T-shirt and take a photo so she sees it on it.
    - Or maybe paint her on my belly (probably not very big yet, but you know).
    - Or ...

    Are you pregnant too, Lynn?

    I don't really know, but I think it's a really nice idea!!

That's a lovely idea! Maybe your girl wearing a Santa hat next to your belly, with a Christmas bauble painted on your belly? Or you lying on your back with a Santa hat on, and your little girl giving your belly a kiss?

    Hi,
@Lynn: Congrats on your pregnancy. (A bit longer than mine) My dad lives in France so yeah, I don't see him that much, and my husband's parents we see weekly or every 2 weeks, but we're good at keeping quiet. Even from friends. I work at a daycare so the people who work with us are aware because last time I had to be careful about the CMV virus, and we've already told those people. During my first pregnancy, I waited until my wedding, and by then I was 20 weeks. That was incorporated as a surprise at the wedding. Very nice!! But now I don't want to wait so long, but I do want to wait until I have a bit more certainty that nothing will go wrong. (well, at least less chance)
@melis1606: I'll go check out that website soon. Thanks
@Lexie: I'll remember that about the Christmas hat, I think it's really nice too!

Ah yes, I have to go to the gynecologist for the first time on Tuesday. It's my second baby, but it's still always quite a nerve-wracking moment. I'm really looking forward to it with butterflies in my stomach; the moment can come soon.

    Hey Caroline,

It really is exciting! I was 24 when I was pregnant and now almost 30... I find it much more exciting and different now! Somehow I'm more conscious of it! Exciting about your ultrasound! I'm going again on Monday! I'm so curious
    Love,
