Winter

Hi everyone,

I have a 3-year-old son named Wolf.
Now I'm expecting a daughter and I really have a soft spot for the name Winter.
If Wolf were a girl, we would have also considered the name Winter. But what do you all think of this name? Do you have any other suggestions?

    Congratulations!!
I think it's a lovely name, but not so much in combination with Wolf.

Because Wolf is also a winter animal.
Then you kind of get something like 'Winterwolf' when you say the names after each other.

I definitely don't mean this in a silly way, but I think it might become a bit confusing like that.

Personally, I'm not really into names derived from animals, objects, or seasons. You'd really have to go for it, I think. I don't see "Winter" as a name; it also doesn't seem very practical to me (especially if she's born in winter, right?)

Tough, Wolf! And congratulations! I'm not so sure about Winter, but I do think it could work as a name. Especially if you both like it. I associate it more with a boy's name, but it could work for a girl too.
Another option: April May Autumn Hazel Fae Fee Elsa Bloem Bloeme Dille Lente Zomer Zon Summer Maan

I think it's a beautiful name too, but not with Wolf. It feels a bit theatrical to me.
I'd go for a more feminine option, one that's on Rose's list, for example. Good luck!!

Never heard of it before, but I think it's really beautiful! I actually like the combination with Wolf!

    Congratulations!!

    I totally agree with Anne.
And I'm actually not a fan of names derived from animals and seasons either. Maybe this isn't very helpful for you, but I'm just giving my honest opinion. But it's also about what you think, so I'd just go for it if you really love it! There are also many positive reactions here. So I think the choice isn't that difficult for you.
By the way, I do think Sterre is really nice!

Nah sorry, I'm not a big fan either.
Well, everyone has their own taste, indeed.
With a name like that, I'd always wonder: how would you feel about having that name yourself?
