Girl's name Rue

What do you think of Rue (pronounced "roe"? I have doubts because it's spelled the same as "street" in French.

    I like it. I have to say that I initially mispronounced it. I said 'ruu', French-style, you might say.

    I pronounced it as 'Ruu', in French.
    It's not an ugly name, but it does seem a bit awkward to me.
    If she introduces herself as 'Roe', she'll always have to spell it out.
    Anyway, just my opinion
    Maybe Rune or Lou? Or maybe Rou or Roux would be pronounced well (like the singer La Roux).

    The pronunciation is English, just like Sue and Blue.
    I like Rue.

    Rue is indeed a bit of a one-syllable name. I don't hear it that often here, so I think that's a plus. If you want it French, go for the pronunciation with a hyphen after it. But well, in the end, it sounds like 'Roe' to us anyway. And that's fine too.
