Hi everyone!

I had my Mirena IUD removed three weeks ago, not because I have an immediate desire for a baby right now, but due to complications I had with the IUD. Yesterday, I had sex with my husband, using a condom... you can guess the rest, the condom broke. With my IUD, I didn't have a period, and I still haven't had one since it was removed, so I have no idea where I am in my cycle. How big is the chance that I'm pregnant...? If I am, then of course it's welcome! But right now, given a new job and house renovations, it wouldn't be the most relaxed timing.. On top of that, I have a party tomorrow, and I'm wondering now, can I drink? Suppose I got pregnant from that time? Maybe it's overthinking, but I'm really wondering..

That's tricky! It's really hard to say, it completely depends on your cycle. I did notice it when I was in my fertile period. But your cycle might be a bit off right now after having the IUD removed. By the way, you can totally drink alcohol, okay. If you're pregnant now, implantation hasn't even happened yet. So there's absolutely no blood contact, which also isn't immediate after implantation anyway. So you can just have a drink. The only thing you can do is wait and see if you get your period in 1-2 weeks. Otherwise, test in a few weeks. Good luck!

Thanks "Clautjuh" for your reply! Indeed, there's nothing else to do but wait. It's a bit exciting..!
